Sleep Among Namaqua's Flowers at Skilpad Restcamp

Four two-sleeper units are on offer (each with an additional sleeper couch) at Namaqua National Park near Springbok in the Northern Cape.

World-renowned for its floral beauty in Spring and its treasures of diverse succulents, this park’s attractions will now include this beautiful new wilderness camp. Regular updates on the flower season are sent through to the SANParks website from the park.

Situated at the edge of the Skilpad area of the park, the new rest camp overlooks a beautiful vista stretching some 60km to the distant West Coast sea on clear days.

Each unit is fully equipped and tastefully decorated, both inside and outside following a traditional Namaqua building style. A large roofed veranda with sliding glass windows can be open on fine evenings and cosily closed off on chilly winter nights, while the indoor braai facility (there’s another one outside) can double as an attractive fireplace when winter comes.
